The last few months have been, say the least, difficult and extraordinary times worldwide, because of all the events we have lived through and are still living through today. No one was able to foresee that what happened in Wuhan would have such a severe impact on Europe and that, unfortunately, so many people would leave us much earlier than they were supposed to.
On the economic level, although there are certain exceptions such as the case of companies linked to technology, it has been really hard for many companies, since almost none of them would have foreseen, within their business continuity plan, a scenario such as the one we have experienced for such a long time.
For many of them the adoption of teleworking was not an easy option, as they did not know where to start, and also without hardly being able to invest money due to lack of income. To help all these companies, in these extraordinary times, we created the trabajaconteams.es platform where we offered companies of any type and size the configuration and training of tools such as Teams and Microsoft 365 mail (Exchange Online) completely free of charge. We did not charge these companies neither for the configuration, the use of licenses or training of these tools. 🧠
In our case, as many of you know, Midway is a company that was born 100% in the Cloud world. Since its creation, it was clear to us that our services could be provided from anywhere in the world due to the tools we use today. For this reason, during this period of confinement that we have experienced, our services have not been affected in any way. We have continued to operate with the same level of demand and commitment to our customers thanks to the team that accompanies us every day in this adventure.
Thanks to this effort we have been able to develop a product related to security and compliance of the workstation / servers. We will be talking about it very soon 🍿. Microsoft has supported us during this development process. Don't be scared! We have not created a new AV or EDR, there are already very decent ones on the market... no need to reinvent the wheel. It is a solution mostly focused on providing a secure way to perform administrative actions on users' computers, without the need to provide administration permissions. Additionally, you will be able to apply and review the technical security level of the workstation through the main security standards such as NIST, CIS, ISO27000, etc.
In addition, in parallel to all of the above, as we recently mentioned recently in our last blog post, we have acquired new Gold and Silver level competencies that accredit us, even more if possible, as a Partner with excellence in Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions in a totally secure way. These new levels of competence fully support each of the services we provide from Midway.
And we don't plan to stand idle here, our next goals are already set, and we hope to achieve them soon 😉.
